1) Be conscious about the language you use/ Be aware of possibility of misunderstanding / Ba aware of the people's difference
2) Ask questions/ let them make comments. (Many bosses don't encourage questions.)
3) Give not only a task but also a chance for a little development.
4) Give/ delegate most of the task (in order to secure social time)/ Let them represent
5) Use the word not "I" but "we"
6) Senior staff: Define the problem and put questions (They gonna feel more respected/ important/ motivated). Junior staff: Show the interest/ Delegate the responsibility gradually
7) Element of leadership: Select the appropriate staff members + capture the whole picture/ the upper-level view + communications (strong communication pipes with senior management members)
8) Be aware of dress code and tone of the voice (Control how you look like)
9) Need to be like an internal consultant/ Need to learn from the intensive consultation process
10) Have social skills (mostly required!!)
11) Let them come to your place every day about almost every thing
12) Plan and think how to communicate/ Control every aspect of the communication
13) Prepare 2 or 3 elevator presentations (3-4 lines)
14) Read the book "Art of War" by Sun Tzu
15) Prepare a presentation that contains less than 3 main messages
16) Take control of your career (one of the method of stress control) (ex. networking/ headhunters) / Feel passion about what you are doing/ Ask the same things to your team members
17) Understand 80/20 rules (20% of customers give 80% of the profit!! Put the emphasis on it.)
18) Check mails after 10:00 a.m. (Concentrate other important things in the early morning.)
19) Delegate the task, which is not important but urgent.
20) Focus on the task that is important and urgent and then the task that is important but not urgent.
